Who We Help

Local Authorities

Prepped Provision works closely with Local Authorities to deliver high-quality, targeted Alternative Provision tuition for children who are out of school or require additional support. Our experienced tutors are trained to work with vulnerable learners, including those with EHCPs or awaiting placement. We provide flexible, short- or long-term support that aligns with local SEND strategies, helping ensure educational continuity and improved outcomes for every child referred to us.

Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs)

We partner with Multi-Academy Trusts to provide consistent, curriculum-aligned tuition across multiple schools. Whether addressing attainment gaps, preparing pupils for exams, or supporting SEND learners, our tutors integrate seamlessly with school teams. Prepped Provision offers both in-person and online tuition, ensuring flexible, scalable support tailored to the unique priorities of each academy trust and each school. We help MATs improve attainment while reducing staff workload and ensuring quality-assured, measurable impact.

Independent Schools

Prepped Provision supports Independent Schools with high-calibre tutors who complement internal teaching provision. We offer intervention support, extension activities for high-achievers, and bespoke one-to-one or small group tuition. Our service is ideal for schools seeking trusted external tutors to maintain academic excellence, fill short-term gaps, or provide additional help for students with specific learning needs — all delivered with professionalism and discretion to match your school’s ethos.

Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)

Our tutors are skilled in engaging students within PRUs who may have complex behavioural, emotional, or learning needs. We offer personalised, structured tuition in core subjects, delivered with sensitivity and consistency. Prepped Provision helps PRUs support reintegration, improve attendance, and boost academic confidence. Our tutors understand the importance of trauma-informed approaches and work in close coordination with pastoral and safeguarding teams to ensure holistic pupil progress.

Hospitals/Clinical Settings

Prepped Provision provides tailored educational support for young people receiving care in hospitals or clinical settings. Our tutors offer flexible, compassionate learning sessions designed to maintain academic progress during treatment or recovery. We liaise with medical and educational teams to ensure tuition is paced appropriately and meets the individual’s needs. Our service helps learners remain connected to education and reduces anxiety about returning to school post-treatment.

Private Referrals

Parents and carers can refer directly to Prepped Provision for one-to-one or small group support in English, maths, science, and more. We work with children from Early Years to post-16, including those with SEND or anxiety-related school refusal. Our tutors build rapport quickly and deliver personalised, engaging lessons that build skills and confidence. Whether short-term catch-up or long-term support is needed, we adapt to fit your child’s goals.

    Case Studies

Case Study 1: Key Stage 1 – Emotional-Based School Avoidance (EBSA)

    Child: Lily, Age 6
Background: Lily was in Year 1 at a mainstream primary school but began refusing to attend due to severe separation anxiety and early signs of emotional-based school avoidance (EBSA).
Provision: Prepped Provision provided 1:1 in-home tuition three mornings a week, focused on phonics, early reading, and numeracy, using play-based and trauma-informed approaches.
Impact: Lily re-engaged with learning in a safe space, rebuilding confidence and routine. Within 12 weeks, she was attending part-time at school with a phased reintegration plan supported by Prepped.

Case Study 2: Key Stage 2 – Permanently Excluded Pupil with SEMH Needs

    Child: Jamal, Age 10
Background: Jamal was excluded from school in Year 5 due to persistent disruptive behaviour linked to undiagnosed ADHD and unmet social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Provision: Prepped Provision delivered structured online tuition in English and maths, supported by weekly mentoring sessions to develop emotional regulation and routine.
Impact: Jamal showed steady improvement in focus and attitude. Within a term, he was assessed for an EHCP and transitioned successfully into a specialist SEMH school, with continued tutoring during the transition.

Case Study 3: Key Stage 3 – Looked After Child (LAC) in a New Placement

    Child: Amira, Age 13
Background: Amira, a Looked After Child, had moved to a new foster placement after experiencing placement breakdown and had missed over 6 months of school.
Provision: Prepped Provision provided face-to-face tuition in core subjects, prioritising English and science, delivered by a trauma-informed tutor twice weekly at the foster home. Sessions included mentoring and goal-setting.
Impact: Amira built trust with her tutor, re-engaged with structured learning, and made measurable academic progress. She was able to start at a mainstream school on a reduced timetable, with tutoring continuing alongside.

Case Study 4: Key Stage 4 – Medical Needs in a Clinical Setting

    Child: Connor, Age 15
Background: Connor had a chronic health condition requiring frequent hospital admissions, resulting in gaps in his Year 10 education and anxiety around falling behind.
Provision: Prepped Provision worked alongside hospital staff to deliver bedside tuition in English, maths, and science. Tuition was flexible and adapted weekly around Connor’s energy levels and medical treatments.
Impact: Connor remained on track with his GCSE subjects and maintained strong attendance for sessions. He later transitioned to a home learning plan supported by his school and Prepped Provision, preparing confidently for Year 11.

    parent testimonial

“Before we found Prepped Provison, my daughter had completely disengaged from school. She struggled with anxiety and had become a school refuser – especially when it came to English and maths, which she believed she ‘wasn’t good at.’ The tutor from Prepped was patient, understanding, and knew exactly how to rebuild her confidence step by step. Now, not only is she working at the right level – she actually enjoys learning again. I never thought I’d hear her say maths was fun! Prepped Provision has changed everything for us.”
